Entry and Adjudication Process
The Irish Spa Awards entry and adjudication process is in place to ensure utmost objectivity and standardisation. Before you can submit an entry, you must indicate on your entry that you have read and understand the entry and adjudication process.
The Irish Spa Awards award categories are judged in 4 ways dependant on the category. These are:
1. Public Vote and Industry Expert Assessment
A public vote will determine the shortlist. The shortlisted nominees will have their entries evaluated by the judges adjudication process from which a winner is selected.
2. Industry Expert Assessment
The judges adjudication process will assess each nominees entry from which it will determine a shortlist and thereafter announce the winner.
3. Public Vote
A public vote which will determine a shortlist and thereafter we will announce the winner.
4. Industry Expert On-site Assessment
The judges will visit the premises of each nominee to carry out an on-site assessment from which they will determine a shortlist and thereafter announce the winner.
The Entry Form for each category includes a detailed outline of what the judges will be looking for: please do your utmost to fulfil the requirements laid out in the category description when entering the Awards.
Each of our judges is assigned categories that are within their specific area of expertise and experience. We ensure that there is no conflict of interest between any judges and the entries they will grade, and the adjudication process is carried out with the utmost confidentiality and objectivity.
The judges assess all the entries in their categories using our Score Card system. Each entry is awarded a score that is directly related to the grading breakdown provided in that category’s detailed description.
Please note that those entries that do not attempt to fulfill the requirements outlined within each Entry Form will not be accepted for submission until they are complete. A member of the Irish Spa Awards team will contact all entrants whose Entry Forms are incomplete to discuss their submission in advance of the adjudication period.
If you have any queries regarding the new entry or adjudication process, please contact our team.
